What's wrong with their feathers?

Hi everyone, hope you guys don't mind if I join you

I have read every page and post and I promise to not ask anything that has already been discussed

Jubaby- thanks for sharing these unique birds and getting this project going! Everyone has done such a great job and I'm excited to become a part of it.

I have 8 of these eggs from NicoleRM that are going into lockdown tonight

So far they all look good- but of course I am extra nervous about this hatch. My plan for them if all goes well is Lavender
yesss.gif
. I have a gorgeous Lavender Ameraucana roo (John Blehm) and more Lavenders hatching with these on the 11th. I may also try Wheatens if I win peachick's auction

We need to work on egg color.

billiejo21 + ladyfaeden - We should all be hatching about the same time

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Thanks, you too! My plan is large fowl Wheatons. it looks like it will take 3 years with the plan I've got laid out but I'm pretty excited.

Thanks!! I just walked by the hatcher and heard "peep, peep, peep"...I of course stopped, grabbed a flashlight and started searching for a pip...nothing yet, but at least one appears to be pipped internally!!

I'll be keeping a close eye on the eggs now...had a couple rocking and rolling earlier!!

Don't think I'll get anything done the next two days!!

Edited to add: My plans right now for my project is just working on getting some viable blue, black and splash birds with good egg color and viability! After that...I think the possibilities are endless!! :)

I put 12 Wheaten eggs in the bator today from Ray_n_Debi on here. 2 of them were a little green tinted and I debated whether or not to hatch the, but I decided to go for it. If the adults lay green later I will just use them as layers insteaad of for this project. I currently have 2 of the Line B eggs (from the hens that got shipped to me) due on the 16th and another due on the 19th. I have 3 eggs from group 1 of my F2s and 2 eggs from group 2 of my F2s due on the 26th, plus 2 more eggs from group 2 and one more from group 1 going in with the Wheaten eggs today. I am planning on putting together my "bachelor pad" this weekend so I can get all the F2 boys out of the breeding pool for now and get the silkied roos over my F2 girls. Exciting things coming up!!

Wow...exciting stuff!!!!!

So...still no pips here...since they haven't pipped, I candled them real quick...two of NicoleRM's are pipped internally and cheeping away....three others I could see definate movement...the other two I can't say for sure, but my candling was limited to a quick glimpse while they were in the bator, so I still am hopeful!!

My other eggs from Alicefelldown are on day 20 and are in my big bator with a fan, so I can't hear anything in there!!! I'm leaving them be...might take a quick peek tomorrow in the bator if I don't see any progress. So, today I'll once again, break my neck staring in the bators!!

Hope everyone else's hatches are going well!

Exciting times for you guys! This all reminds me the way I find they've hatched - I'll strain my neck and eyes staring for hours at the eggs then later while not watching I'll hear something and wonder what the heck is cheeping... LOL someone hatched while I wasn't looking, of course!

Hope everyone's hatch is going good!! I've had 2 from NicoleRM's line hatch, 1 from Alicefelldown's A line and 1 from her B line. I have 2 more B line eggs externally pipped. Not sure if anymore of NicoleRM's will hatch, but I'm going to leave the remaining 4 in the bator. I'm sad if they don't, since I had atleast 2 other wigglers on day 21!! But, I guess 6 out of 14 isn't terrible since these eggs seem to be a little unpredictable with hatching!! Can't wait to hear everyone else's progress!!

I'm back early from my trip and have a chick in the incubator! Hatched just about 2 hours ago and a 2nd one has pipped. The chick hatched out of the egg I was most wanting to hatch as it was the perfect shade of blue. I just slipped a mark onto him through a vent so I'll know which one he is if anyone else hatches. He's kind of a baby blue-would that be blue or splash?
