I have a Silky Amraucana also, five toes is a dead give away. I also have a Silky Polish Crested (my profile pic), love her plan on mating her with my Silky Amraucana if it's a boy, only a week old so can't really tell.
ok we did a count today FINALLY and we have 4 splash 2 smooth splits, 2 fluffies. Then the rest are blues...8 are smooth splits and then 11 are fluffied! that is the count thus far. WOW and we have several not make it and we still have a lot! I need to get them all together and then take pics..
SO 13 fluffy birds on the property I think! not counting the smooth splits.

At this point I would call them all hens, but the Ameraucanas tend to trick me, so maybe someone else will chime in.I know this thread is mostly about the fluffy split of this gene, but the three I have came from Chookschicks and turned out to be smooth split of the gene. Could you help me tell if they are hens or roos? Great chicks, smart and affectionate. I think they are about six weeks old.

So...hens? roos? I live in the city and any roos need new home.
