O.K.- it took me almost 3 days at work to read the entire thread, and I have to add my .02 worth.

Call them Softee's, Ozzie Jr should be Ricky and Refresh = pf (or f) 5 (thr row of keys at the top of your board. Congrats on all the fuzzies that are doing well, and I"m so sorry for those that didn't. They are truly beautiful-whatever they are.

Now, this may sound simple or stupid but when people make dogs (and I'm talking about people

making new breeds, theyll start with someting that is already out there. Sometimes sveral, so wouldn't it be the same with chickens? ? ? take 2 or 3 kinds and brred the dickens out of them until you have a type that is pleasing with all the characteristics you are looking for. Continue to breed them and one day you wake up and have a recognized breed? Some breeds occur naturally and some man-made- and I'm pretty sure if you look at the dna in almost any chicken you will find some weird things lurking out there. I guess this is the TRUE question of what came first eh?

from comb color I would lean more towards cockeral, seems pretty red at 6 weeks.....

Yeah, but it looks like a single row, not 3 rows that the cockerals usually have.
