Whats your cold weather comfort food?

Mmmm, Brunswick Stew is one of my favorite cold weather meals (or any weather meals) --- hope your sinus infection is better soon.
Or Chicken Noodle-y Stuff, more like Chicken and Dumplings, but with peas, carrots, onions, celery and broad noodles. I haven't made homemade noodles in the longest time.
Potato or Broccoli Soup or Potato and Broccoli Soup. Yum, or Onion Soup.
Or Beef Stew...
I woke up hungry this morning.
Grits, it is. The ultimate comfort food --- savory grits with lots of caramelized onions and cheese and home fries.

Homemade sourdough bread, cookies, cinnamon rolls.
Chicken and Dumplins
Anything cheesey
I think I have been cooking and baking too much. Maybe putting on my layer of warmth for winter.....soon it will be spring.

To end it off a glass of white zinfandel or a nice vodka squirt!

For breakfast my son and I rode the motorcycle out to "Duncan Junction." He had an egg, bacon, cheese biscuit and I had a sausage gravy biscuit and hashbrowns. It was a 14 mile round trip and it was 12 degrees out there. The only thing I'm going outside for anymore today is to bring in more firewood. My wife is taking care of the chickens.

I just made a big crock-pot full of homemade chili. It should be ready in about 4 hours or so. That will be good for this afternoon and tonight. Fire-hot chili and ice-cold beer.

Dipsy, I 'm with you. My Dh has wanted a bowl of Hot Cheese Grits on these cold mornings with some good ole Sugar Cured Bacon. You won't have to eat till supper again.
