Favorite--coolest gun I currently own. M-1 Carbine, generaly underpowered, peepsights not worth a nothing, but it's fantastic to own a gun manufactored in 1942. Possibly used in WWII. Given to me by a family friend that carried one just like it with the 101st AB in WWII.
My second favorite is a 12 ga single shot, full choke 36" barrel. Passed down to me from my maternal PawPaw. Manufactor date 1926. Forged barrel not a damascus so I still use this gun hunting squirrels and deer. Put a 2-3/4" reduced recoil 00 buckshot in it, at 50yards the patern doesn't open much bigger than the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket. Deadly on deer and varmints, however never make the mistake of throughing it up and pulling the trigger before you have it well seated on your shoulder. If you do, it becomes a question of which end of the gun can hurt worse. Continued excessive firing can cause nose bleeds.
Next one would be a Savage Arms .22 autoloader. Passed down from an uncle.
Got a few other shotguns, a rifle or two, throw a few pistols. But those are the ones with a story. Well I did leave out the double barreled muzzle loading shotgun that belonged to my paternal great PawPaw, one barrel rusted through. I found it in the attic of my PawPaw's house, my dad told me who it belonged to.
