I have Wheatens from my Orpingtons that pop up like this.
Dark stipe on the head. Hatched another one with more of a dark splotch on it's head.

Those are some interesting color patterns. Those are clearly Wildtype, & or partridge based.Maybe? My pheonixes kept throwing colors they theoretically shouldn't be throwing, and that batch of chicks was accidentally wiped out by the mom one night when she went after a mouse (don't keep clumsy mamas, lesson learned).

What color of Phoenixes do you have?Yeaj, I had 3 make it to feathering age. Ended up with a white, an orange male and a light russet female with bluish where the brown is on mama
