When did you start to wrinkle?

When did you start to wrinkle?

I'm 32 and have no idea when I started to wrinkle, I was too busy enjoying my life I guess.

I had to go look in the mirror to be sure I had some wrinkles before I came back to answer your question. I do have a few tiny ones that appear to be from smiling, guess that's not so bad. I do wear sunscreen every day.

I know I have grey hair because my best friend is an aesthetician and she never fails to mention it when she's coloring my hair, the brat.

For some reason the "magic" age for me was 37. One day I thought I looked pretty daggone good. The next day I thought I looked "aged." I'm sure my wrinkles didn't just pop up over that one day...lol, but that's when I noticed them. Being blonde, the gray didn't stand out much when it first made its appearance, late 20s (I blamed it on having my son at 27). I do think it has a LOT to do with genetics. But some of it is skincare, and some is facial structure (cheekbones, etc.), and some is being thinner/heavier. A thin face will generally show age faster than a plumper face.

Sarah, you cannot be serious about botox! Honestly, life gives you wrinkles. I don't look as old as I am at 54 and you know why? I did not sunbathe as a kid and as an adult, every time I go out, I have on sunscreen. I use daily moisture lotions with retinol type ingredients in them and do it religiously. I walk in the fresh air, am always well-hydrated and I do not smoke, which ages you faster than just about anything except the sun by giving you wrinkles and yellowing your skin. Some of it is related to genetics, sure, but if you take care of yourself, you'll age as gracefully as possible, but you will age. Can't get away from that!

To answer your question, I think I first saw any noticeable wrinkles about 9 years ago, at age 45. I don't expect to get out of life without them, but I take care of my skin. Here is a picture from that age so you can see for yourself.

My mother never did wrinkle. She died the day after her 90th birthday and still had beautiful skin. She stayed out of the sun when she could and used a hat and sun screen when she couldn't. She also used Mary Kay cosmetics and skin care.

I had great skin until I lost 50 pounds. Looked like I was 20-something at 36. Lost 50+ pounds and now at 42 I'm all wrinkly.

Sometimes a few extra pounds can be a good thing!

I'm 48 (here with my granddtr)

I have fine lines under my eyes from squinting in the sun - that's about it. Grey hair? not sure - have colored my hair since I was 16!

I only use Bare Escentials Makeup

After thinking back I think this all started because Im using this new medication (like proactice) for acne. It can cause skin to "age faster". I think its really drying it out and causing this... Its worse some days than others
