Please post the age & breed when your pullets/hens began laying eggs.

I'm still waiting............
2 Black Austrolorps - 24 weeks old (No Eggs)
2 Easter Eggers - 21 weeks (No Eggs)

@wwise56 My five Golden Comets started to lay from 16 1/2 to 19 weeks. But they are a sex-links type of chicken, and are known to lay early.
I believe that I've read the two types of chickens you have are late coming to the layers club. GC

Thank you for you input. Most appreciated. I do have one that is beginning to squat so I'm hoping maybe a week at most. Several times a day I go to visit and just tell myself: No eggs......A watched pot never boils. LOL

I picked all 8 of my birds on March 3rd as 1 day old chicks. I have 3 tetra browns, 3 Leghorns and 2 Barred rocks.

July 1st we got out first egg and for the last 10 days it has increased to where we are getting 4 eggs daily consistently and there was one day we got 5.

I know the Tetra browns are laying (we watched out largest bird drop an egg in the run) so I will assume it is all 3 of them

I know the Leghorns are laying (white eggs) I assume 2 of them as I have my suspicions one is a rooster (new at this so still unsure)

Barred rocks are not laying yet from what I can see.

So from chicks in a box to first egg 16.5? 17 weeks? and consistent 4 to 5 eggs per day 18 weeks.

I'm wondering the same thing about when eggs will start? I have four hens (three ISA Browns & 1 Australorp) that are 17 weeks old and one Buff Orpington that is 20+ weeks and we have not gotten any eggs. When can I expect them? Been leaving them in the pen area until 11 or 12 and then they are free range. Could they be laying in the woods in the afternoon?
