When do d'uccles begin laying

My first d'uccle egg was around 20-21 weeks.
Signs that they are close to laying are:
  • Red combs (like flushed red)
  • Sitting down in a nest/nest like place and getting comfortable
  • Also red wattles
Well that's all I know anyways. Hope this helps!

Thank you. I'm hearing 8-9 months from many other d'uccle owners. Hope it won't be that long!

They should start anywhere from 5 to 7 months. It likely depends on the time of year for them as well as they are not heavy layers. I would think cochins would begin laying sooner but I am not super familiar with those.

My golden started laying around 19 weeks. My MF has yet to lay and is at 29 and has not laid yet.

I'm getting some d'uccles next month so I was also curious about this. I hope it's on the shorter side!!
