ok, my eggs are silkie, frizzle and americauno mixes if i spelt that right. Im young, in my teens and i couldnt afford my own incubator, i borrowed from my dads friend. I guess i probably should have checked the thermometer before tho. lol
When you haven't incubated before it's hard to know that checking temperature with a calibrated thermometer is a good thing to do. I just wish the thermometers on incubators tended to me more accurate. Incubator instructions often get people into trouble as well, they often suggest a humidity from days 1-18 that end up being too high and can cause issues at hatch.
I never blame those new to hatching for trusting the incubators. It's only when there is a problem that you learn that the incubators might not always be trustworthy.
