Well I can see where that might be a good idea. When your chicken is moulting you won't be getting much in the way of eggs anyhow, so you wouldn't have to throw any away due to the type of worm medicine you use.
For removing internal parasites from humans, dogs, and cats-- especially the one that causes cancer "the Fluke" -- I've read Wormwood, Cloves, and Black Walnut Hulls Extract... from Dr. Clark. Has anyone else tried this method on chickens??
I use FOOD GRADE Diatomaceous Earth (DE). I use DE where they dust bathe, in their nests, their litter, run, and all over their coop. I don't care if any gets in their food as I use Food Grade DE. I have no pest problems with my birds. I have taken some of their poop to my vet to check for worms, so far always negative.
