NP... tell your Aunt to get herself over to MDAnderson in Houston. They saved my nephew's life when he got oral cancer. It's not something to mess around with and they routinely save lives over there.

Thank you all for the positive energy...it really does help just to read the messages. Next immediate task is getting Mom through her surgery--it's set to last around 6 hours, and I know we'll all be nervous wrecks until she's out and they tell us, hopefully, that the cancer is not in her lymph nodes.

And I'll pass along the suggestion re MD Anderson, thanks.

This is my mom--pictured here with my nephew just last week. I don't know that she wants me broadcasting her age, but just to put it in context, *I* am almost 42, and she was not a teenager when I was born.
