That could be I’m not sure. I have had them too unfortunately. Little birds bring them. That’s why I use frontline. It works. Unlike playing around with permethrin and ivermectin.I read it, and I also have experience with them unfortunately and only the eggs and nits were grey. Maybe they vary from location?
I think they're northern fowl mites. They're a gray brown color. They are definitely not red, off the bird anyways. Plus they are out during the day which I read is a northern fowl mite thing. I will say the dilution you recommended is already showing positive results in the coop.@SavKel&RynKel, have you said which mite you're dealing with? Is it the Red Roost Mite or is it the Northern Fowl Mite?
