When should Barred Rocks start laying? What about Cochins?

I have a barred rock-Cochin mix who is 21 weeks today. She hasn’t started laying yet, is there something I should be worried about? My other two (1 year) started at 20 weeks. When should I expect her to start?

How much light has she been getting because light helps them mature so if they are only getting natural light it will be a little longer than if you are giving them plenty of extra light?

I'd say just keep playing the waiting game them.
Hopefully she starts soon.

There is not really a set time she will start...no two chickens are the same. She will lay when she is ready.

The feed has calcium correct?
A layer type adult feed right?

My barred rock girls started at about 21 or 22 weeks. My sisters cochins were 8 months before they started laying.

Waiting is the hardest part!
I have Mille Fleur D’Uccle bantams that are 27 weeks and STILL haven’t laid! Those gals know I have been anxiously waiting....!
