I have 26 Freedom Rangers that are 2 weeks old. I recently let them start to range in a fenced in area. I noticed one chicken limps when it does walk but often sits near the food when it does not need to move. Would you guys cull this one or wait another week and see if it heals. Not sure if maybe when I was taking them out of the brooder to put them on the ground if maybe I plopped this one a bit too hard. I only would place them on the ground from maybe 6 inches up. Thanks for the help!

Depends upon whether or not the chicken is presenting other symptoms and its overall appearance. Is it being picked on by the others? I would isolate at the minimum until the situation changes for better or worse.

It gets around ok. Sort of like on one leg half flying half hopping. Liiks like one leg at the joint bends sideways instead of in the back. Has a small growth on it but it seems to be managing ok. Hope it makes it another month.
