When to separate layers and meat birds?

I'm receiving my first batch of pullets towards the end of May. I'm getting 10 broilers and 10 layers from Meyers. At what point should I separate them? I've read that you should keep them (layers) in the brooder up to 8 weeks, some people apparently even take them out sooner than that. But since the broilers grow so rapidly, I was wondering when you can take them from the brooder to the coop? This is my first year doing this. I'm excited and overwhelmed. My wife and I are taking a lot on this year, not only are we expanding our garden, but we're getting bees in April, and chickens the next month. I can't for the snow to melt so I can get to work on their coop.

Thanks for your suggestions
