When will she give birth

I will address what I said earlier, in its own separate post.

Animal abuse is not based on, or limited to physical exploitation. Abuse can be defined as a lack of care, wether that be neglect of feeding, health, or in this dogs case, sexual health/limitations. While it isn’t considering abuse for an animal to be left un neutered/spayed, it is considered (in my eyes at least) to be abuse if an animal is being allowed to inbreed, or be accidentally bred in a situation where it could have been avoided. Neutering (and spaying) your animals is not done only to control population, but it is also to prevent health issues In the animal who is being bred/breeding. A female dog/cat, can develop serious problems if allowed to be bred without supervision or knowing the current status of health on either animal. Animals who are inbred, are putting their offspring at risk of endless health issues. Dogs who are accidentally impregnated are not uncommonly neglected, euthanized, or left to die/killed (rarely.) I believe that the owners of this dog have no right to own animals that they cannot take care of. They are neglecting (therefore abusing) their dogs by allowing them to inbreed, and leaving them unfixed. If you cannot afford to neuter your animals, you cannot afford to keep them at all. You then cannot afford to care for accidental offspring. My concern is that these dogs are afraid of their owners. Why would that be? My guess would be physical abuse, in which case, these neglected and abused dogs, should not be left with these people. @JadeFarms, I wouldn’t hesitate to try and convince your parents to call someone on this. They would have to admit that the situation that these neglected dogs are in, is completely not suitable and the owners should no longer be allowed to keep them. That or, you should try and get them fixed. Many places where I am will do it free, but that isn’t common. Some events will hold free, or discounted neuter surgeries for spays and neuters. I understand that that’s almost never an option though, and paying for it all would be the only way. I would advise you, however, to neuter and spay all the puppies that are born, to prevent any possible health issues that could worsen their health that has already been damaged by the inbreeding. You would do this of course when they are old enough, but it would tremendously help the lives of these puppies and prevent situations like that from happening again. As for the dogs current owners, try to convince your parents to call someone. I would really hate to see this neglect to continue. Do you think there is a possibility these dogs are being physically abused as well? By the way you say the mother dog is afraid of them, I have reason to believe it’s quite possible.

To wrap this up, I want to tell everyone who knows of a situation like this, that animal abuse is not limited to physical exploitation. Abuse can be neglect, starvation, neglecting deteriorating health, Inbreeding, overfeeding, drugging, and a few more things. If you know of an animal, who is in a situation of abuse, please do not hesitate to take action. It may just be one animal, but it’s also a life.
