Okay I may be just super excited and anxious but I ordered baby chicks from a hatchery and they're due to be at the post office. They left Charleston wv at 5 am and it's a 3 hour drive to me in wheeling wv. It is now 1120! What's the latest y'all have got your call that your chicks have arrived? I mean I'm spazzing because I know my babies are prob thirsty!

I haven't ever ordered chicks but some people say they've had chicks be two days late sometimes. Just have electrolytes prepared in their water so they can get strong again. I can't imagine how stressful that is! I had to wait a day since my feed mill near me is where I got them, but they were closed the day I wanted them! I know that's not nearly as stressful, but I can see how you feel. You'll make a great chicken mama! Good luck, it's worth the wait!

I'm super anxious I keep checking tracking over and over lol. Maybe I'm doing too much. But wv teachers are on stroke today so my kiddos are home. Was really hoping it was today!

Have you called the post office to ask if they have arrived? They would have details for you on if they have arrived AND when the trucks arrive/unload at the post office for the day.

I am expecting our chicks the first week of May and have already talked to our post master once and will do it again the day they ship. During our first conversation I asked what time to expect them as the trucks have a regular delievery time, she was able to tell me it would be before they opened (6am) and she would call me as soon as they arrive.
I have heard the tracking isn't always reliable.

Best of luck,
Joy
