So far so good with Bashful's eggies! I've been getting them daily, an hour later than the day before.
All the same size with very little variation in color. First one was lighter than the other days, but that's about the only difference.
Some strange goings on though with the laying of the eggies...
** Bashful runs down the ramp to the run...pecks about for a little bit then makes a made dash back up the ramp. Then does the Goldilocks trying out the bears' beds thing in each nest box...runs in one, scrunches around, runs out...goes to another one...scrunches about...run out...goes to the next one...then runs down the ramp...scratches...runs back up. Repeat.
** Then...after about 20 rounds of the above routine...King joins in the craziness. He goes in the dang nest box with her. Then he leaves and goes to another box. Coos a bit, then Bashful comes tearing out of the box she's in to go to the one King is in. They do this about a dozen or so times...
** Then...after the above 2 routines take place the rest of the clan joins the craziness. They all go into the coop and spectate...sometimes one will try to go into the box with Bashful and King...or stand directly at the box opening.
When all is said and done, Bashful has been laying in the same box everyday....
Oh...no egg song.
So....just for poops and giggles, while hanging in the run with them...I played a Youtube video "The loudest egg song ever".... King...is the only one to sing along.
These dang chickens crack me up....I love them.

. Took her a lot of work to make that and bigger ones will be not too far away. And don't be surprised if you get some wonky eggs along the way. Takes them a bit of practice to get it all worked out. Be wary of super large eggs as we've had reports of eggs inside eggs here on BYC
