Will it stink after a while? Maybe Shellac it? Build a shadow box for it and hang it on the wall....

Blow out, rinse with bleach water. Dry well.

All kinds of crafts can be done on eggs. I dabbled with embroidery on eggs. They usually do a Christmas contest related to egg decorating.
This is a pretty crude one, in progress, I was practicing on.
