Where did they come from???

So true, had no idea I could get so attached to my girls! They gather around my feet looking for treats, and follow me all around their run. When I am cleaning their poop board at least one has to on the board at all times to see what I am doing.

Omgosh....they're nosey little buggers. lol The whole time I was putting up the hardware cloth and that perimeter stuff on the ground they were following me around the coop giving me the one-eye. I said they needed little white hard hats to fit their foreman position. lol I was quite surprised that they didn't get spooked by the power tools and banging.

Just moved an end table into the run. The log that Fancy is standing on will be their new swing. :D

I'm glad you like going into the run. That's one reason I went with the chainlink pen as my run, so that I could go inside and hang out with them. When I was researching, all the small coops with the little access doors don't look inviting or roomy enough for big tall me to get my butt into, so they weren't really an option I wanted to go with. I go in daily to sit with my chickens and/or at least take them some kind of treat. I need to get a swing for them too.

Oh I couldn't wait until the kennel was added. Room for them...but selfishly for my benefit too. :) I so enjoy sitting in there with them. Right now I only have time in the morning to enjoy their company. It's dark when I'm finished work. :( I can't wait until the days get longer so I can hang with them after work!

I love perusing this site and looking at the pictures of everyone's coops and runs. I have an entire album on my phone of screenshots of people's really cool ideas. Just found the swing idea last night. :)

By the way, I love your end table!! :love really cool idea!
I love it too... The boyfriend is pitching a hissy fit though as it is "precious firewood"... I'm like..."Yeah, yeah....here's ten bucks, go buy yourself a couple bundles of campfire wood and hush." I may be "acquiring" a couple more of those "preciouses" for inside the run for the "kids" to play on.

introduce them very slowly set them in the dog crate inside the coop if you can

If BF feels he needs to be utilitarian about the wood, he can cut slices of it and make lovely rustic boards for inside, used as bread board or to use for parties as presentation pieces. Could make great Christmas gifts, or they sell here in the city for $75-$100 a piece. I would not use them as fire wood! IMHO
