I made this with trees from my farm property, skinned with a draw-knife, all done by hand, by myself. Its my bed at the farm.

Do you just shellac the wood? Or is there a particular process before making it into furniture? What about bugs in the wood?

Yes in Nola that price for you will see tonight, that you have the material for pieces that would sell for that amount here, with little or nothing more than thick sliced and sanded smooth on the part you would put something on. No, furniture sells for much more here, now furniture is custom made.

Oh tiny bug holes are often consider a way of deciding if something is a true French Antique. Have just a couple of real french pieces and have had to have them treated for bugs. LOL

This would go back to that thing about paying attention to boyfriend's "not that wood" Certain woods are better for certain things.

If you can find a seller, based on that piece of wood you used for end table, well yes, ding,ding,ding...
Oak is your best bet for what we are talking about, but don't know what else you have growing up there. Know bird's eye maple has high resale price and you don't know you have it until you cut it down. Start looking at what he cuts down before it becomes cord wood!!
