It will be ME yelling...."NO, not THAT wood!" now....This would go back to that thing about paying attention to boyfriend's "not that wood"Certain woods are better for certain things.

May have to travel a bit to find the right boutique, but it will be worth it. I have a boutique 3 blocks from my house that already has someone doing this! Wish it was me, except I don't have the trees. Just one hugh oak in the front yard and it isn't going any place, it's one reason I bought the house.
When I lived in Alexandria, swamp cypress (aka drift wood) was huge. People would pay a fortune for a 2" slab.May have to travel a bit to find the right boutique, but it will be worth it. Still do and they will make whatever you want for another small fortune. I think someone did a TV show about sinker cypress a few years ago. When I lived in Alexandria, swamp cypress (aka drift wood) was huge. People would pay a fortune for a 2" slab.
Well...the BF loves my alternative ideas for his precious firewood! Lol. Looks like I won't have much resistance taking a couple more stumps to put in the run for the King and his harem...now that he knows there's money to be made with the stuff too. Lol. **insert evil laughter**
Since you mentioned bread board and Gifts in same post, I just came across a FANTASTIC AND PRACTICAL IDEA. Way less than $75-$100 for the combo. Almost Cash And Carry with very little modifying. If BF feels he needs to be utilitarian about the wood, he can cut slices of it and make lovely rustic boards for inside, used as bread board or to use for parties as presentation pieces. Could make great Christmas gifts, or they sell here in the city for $75-$100 a piece. I would not use them as fire wood! IMHO![]()
