Where did they come from???

Pics
Tubby Monster Milestone:

Mocha and Fancy took a walk on the wild side today! Strolled the rim of the tire only because you know...that dust stuff inside the tire will melt their piggies...
ummm when ash gets wet it makes lye for awhile... maybe it is melting their piggies:old

My birds eat stove ash. Turns their poop black, and their piggies. Then their piggies get black skid marks all over the eggs.
I have it mixed with sand...about 50/50...and drizzled with DE. They won't go into the center of the tire to explore...and realize it's their tubby...and they'll love it... **sigh**

This is just me, and may actually be an awful idea, but, I am the type that if a horse acts scared of water, you'de better guess where he's going in the next 5 minutes... also, I take kittens outside and throw them in their first snow... I'm not big on letting animals skitter around something forever thinking that it's dangerous... so, I would be taking a bird, not even all of them, and manually plopping her in the middle of that tire and dumping a handful of dirt on her back... Likely, that will make her shake it off, and maybe figure it out, if one figures it out, they all will.

Have you tried putting some goodies in there? Perhaps some scratch, or some kitty kibble???
Hahahahaha....I had a Smorgasbord in there at one point! Nope..."Can't eat that, Mom"..."It's in the lava!"

I picked King up and held him for a bit and gently put him down in there figuring the girls would see he was fine and didn't start squawking, "I'm melllllttttinnnnggg" (Wizard of Oz voice)...but he leaped out as fast as I put him in.
