Where did you first meet your Husband/Wife?

Kennel club...we went to the dogs 15 years ago.

We had mutual friends, but one of us was always taken by someone else. Got together first at a party hosted by a woman who was both my, and his, ex-roommate. That was in 1996. He proposed about 4 days later, although we didn't get married till 1998.

It's kinda weird, there's this one guy I work with who is like, his long-lost twin brother or something, if he had been more diligent in school and done the corporate yuppie thing, you know? But looks-wise, very very similar, even similar haircuts. Whenever that co-worker is giving a seminar or chairing a meeting...aaaahhh, dreamy...

I met my husband in the house across the street from me. He never said a word to me. I then would see him at work. He was a customer and I work the counter. He started to talk to me and then asked me out. I laughed in his face, told him that he must be forty and to get out. (thought he was joking) When I found out he was serious, I got his number and called him to tell him I was sorry. Well he asked me out again. So I said yes and told him that I would only go out with him once for laughing in his face. Well that was 18 years and 5 children ago. He loves to throw it in my face that I was only going out with him once.

Through a personal ad, in a local alternative newspaper in 1991, long before internet dating. My ad read; HANDYMAN WANTED; for my heart and my home. Kept a legal pad by the phone to keep track of 99 responses, he was #44, and my soulmate.

My DDH and I first met when we were 4 and 6 years old (I was the younger one) we knew each other from then on living in the same town but did not start dating until I was 24.

At a bar she never wanted to go to with her friends. I was a regular. 8 years togather and 5 married.

That bar is gone now but we still remember that night. Well, she remembers most of it. She worked at the bar/resturant next door. I asked if her or her friend wanted to play pool and she jumped at it. At closing time a bunch of us were going over to the other bar for a little after party. Well one of the friends (the bar manager) didn't like me and asked me to leave, so I did. As I was pulling out of the lot she came running out of the bar and asked me if I wanted to go to the casino. Strange but I went. Played some games had some fun. On the way home we stopped at Perkins and before we went in I asked her if I could kiss her, and we did. Two weeks later I moved in with her and we've been togather ever since. And that other stuff took another two weeks to happen so it wasn't based on that.

She said the day she knew she would marry me was the day I stayed there so the cable could be hooked up,that was the day I moved in. I don't get it but love is strange. We don't even have cable anymore. Who needs it with love.
