Where did you first meet your Husband/Wife?

I found him in the woods!

Was working at a wilderness program for juvenile offenders in PA when he came and started working there. I was his boss, lol!

He left after about a year and then I chased his butt down in NC. We lived together for awhile. Didn't work out but neither of us could afford to move out. We shared a 1 bedroom apartment for 6 months without talking. HONEST!!

He lost his job and we had to move out. Found a cheap trailer to move into. Still with just 1 bedroom worth sleeping in.

gradually we came back together. 1 1/2 years later we were married on Valentine's Day!! Today is 16 years.
 
First time I saw her she was dating another guy.

I remember going past her house and telling my friend the prettiest girl I ever saw lived there.....few months later they broke up.

Driving around town one night with some friends I see her riding with another girl so we ask them to talk to us in the parking lot behind a bar, they do.....talk awhile we leave.

I call her on the phone asking for a date....turned down.

See her at a store, ask her for a date...... turned down.

Umpiring a baseball game, see her in the stands. When I call the last out I walk over to ask her again, ............I got snubbed.

I asked her out a dozen times if I asked her once....finally I say the heck with her.

I get into a bad car accident......guess who is concerned about me....Yup! She asks a friend if I'll be okay. Friend tells me......I get up the nerve to ask ONE more time.

She accepts a date.

This October will be 30 years of wedded bliss.

Talk about someone playing hard to get........
 
When we were 16 my best friend and his best friend were dating. They decided we should go out and set us up on a blind date. The 4 of us went sledding for a few hours and had homemade hot chocolate (at friends grandparents farm) and they dropped me back off at home.

A week later, my blind date was out partying, tried to drive home drunk and wrapped his moms car around a tree, almost killing himself and a friend. He wasn't in school for weeks and I didn't have his phone number or know him well enough at that point to call or go see him. After he came back to school, he slowly started saying hi, looking my way and picking on me in the halls, trying to get my attention. That went on for a year, despite the fact he was dating some other girl lol. He broke up with her at some point and asked me out (which made the girl hate me). We hung out, went on a few dates, I helped him work on his race car and he asked me to marry him when we were both 18. We got married a year later and its been almost 20 yrs now.

PS. The dating best friends that set us up, didn't last much past high school.
 
Funny storey - I was 21, had never dated and was as shy as could be. I hired my now wife to work four my employer at the time. Funny thing during the interview, the other manager said to me, "She would make a really nice wife for you". That was 20 years ago. This March will be 19 years, Three boys later, we are doing good. Won't say there are not bumps along the way. But we are doing good.

I met my husband online in chat. We met in August and married the following July.

I often think it is the modern day version of a mail order bride.
 
Transferred to a new college a couple months before my 19th birthday. Met him the first week I was there. Engaged 3 weeks later, married two weeks after my 19th birthday. Been married 33 years now. Wouldn't trade him for anyone on the planet! l
 
My friend was dating his brother and they set us up on a blind date. He took his friend with him.

For some reason that didn't put me off and 17 years later we are still together, married for 13.
