Where do we mail dead birds for autopsy/diagnosis.....

Where do we mail deceased birds for autopsy or whatever they do to find out what is making them sick to the point we have to put them down? I live in Utah and need to figure out what is slowly killing my little flock and how to treat my future sick birds.

Thanks for any help. We just had to put two more girls down after almost a month long ordeal of medicating and force feeding/watering 2 birds. Sad.

Who knew we would get so attached to our birds and each ones personality. It is devastating.

You can call the state vet office, our if your state university has a vet school they would do it. Birds should be kept refrigerated (NOT frozen) until the post mortem (necropsy)

I think you are wise to have this done. It is always so sad to loose birds.
