Where is Black Cochin SOP thread??

Purchased a couple Black Cochin male chicks and need serious input.

If someone is able to list a link here, as using search is a pita for me.

Need to understand why one of 4 roosters are showing brown feather among his black feathers.

Hatch date week of Aug 3; 4 weeks of age.

Hatchery birds aren't always the best quality. I don't think there is SOP here on this site.

Thank you. I realize hatchery are not the best quality but need something to compare to in order to know what is normal. Growing birds go thru many stages that majes them look off but is just a growth stage.

Some hatchery birdd dont have perfect coloring.

They are crap birds......if I had bought from a good breeder, then yes , its worth joining.

Black birds cannot have brown feathers. I believe it's a fault if not an actual DQ

Brown or reddish gold?
I believe it may be a DQ but can look it up. As he gets older he will only get more. He lacks melanizers, probably.
