Earlier today I saw a fire ignite post a member calling a staff member a grinch because they were upset.
That really lit the fire under the seats of a few staff members.

IMO, everyone overreacted in that case. Including staff.

In addition, due to the allowance of members who are minors there is the expectation that language be "family friendly" so to speak.

To me it's all language and it's all useful. There's actually a scientific paper that researched the matter and found that people who avail themselves of colorful language have lower blood pressure.

This babe who went to a proper Midwestern girls' college (back in the late 60s) is all for it! In fact, that's where I learned my sailor's vocabulary.

Even wtf, wth, gtfo, wtfh, idfk, etc? Those abbreviations are used widely here and not starred out. Not trying to start an argument.
