Where to buy battery hens?

Im wanting to save a few from there terrible life, but i dont know where to start! im in MO, i dont know if that help.
Any websites or advice?

That is a wonderful idea! Rescuing ex-batts can be very rewarding. My DH and I rescued some years ago and what we did was locate battery egg farms and phone them, asking them if they had any "spent" hens for sale. They get rid of all whole lot of hens every few months or so and many of them will sell them to the public for eating or rescuing.
