Where to buy mail order chicks?

It's because they never know exactly how many chicks are going to hatch on a given date, so they make a very conservative estimate when they post them for sale. Then, on the hatch day, they (hopefully) have more chicks hatch out than were actually ordered, and the extras get posted for sale on that day.
Isn't that something like "Not counting your chickens before they hatch?"

My chicks suggest you use Meyer

It depends what breed you're looking for. Meyers, efowl.com, purelypoultry.com has a lot of selection or a smaller outfit like mailorderpoultry.com or jmhatchery has only a couple breeds but are usually more personal.

i use mypetchicken.com i have 15 Jersey Giants hatching on the 29th of June they will be here on the 2nd or 3rd of July. pretty cheap too. And Including Vaccines. What cost the most is the shipping.
