Hey all! My ducks have pretty much demolished all the grass in their yard. I've been bringing grass from around the area for them to eat (I can't free range due to neighbors).

I'm wondering if people sell, well, bags of fresh grass or something? Could I ask a local farmer? Raspberry & Blackberry both go absolutely nuts for the stuff and I'd like to provide more if I can.

You might get away with growing some grass in "frames" so that the ducks can only get it if it grows outside of the frame. I can't think of what these are called right now.
Grazing frames! Came here to say just that :) I only have chickens, so don't know about ducks, but other options might include sprouted grains or fodder. Lots here on the forums about them.

Oh perfect! I've got a bunch of grass seed laying around. I'll just designate a bin for that and grow some. Not sure they'll want to wait though 😂.

I let my lawn get a little long then throw the clippings into my chicken run. They love it.

Maybe call a local landscaper?

Believe me, you DO NOT want a pile of fresh grass clippings unless you can get it IMMEDIATELY.

One time a while back my neighbor dumped a pile for me from his bagger-mower (for mulching my garden), and I couldn't spread it out for a day or two and you would not believe the STENCH.

Rotten cabbage has nothing on rotting grass clippings.
