Which breed are you most likely to buy

Our local tractor supply sells alot of Easter Eggers and olive Eggers and "assorted bantams" so maybe those I was thinking

Why would you want to breed them then? You can't offer them less expensively than TSC. And people can just go there to get them. I'd focus on breeds that aren't super common but are popular/hardy for your area, while also focusing on offering birds that are better than hatchery babies.

My feed store has them all the time! Tractor supply! I only have one bc my others are different breeds, but I always look at the chickies and they are there quite often.

Tractor Supply doesn't carry Araucanas.

They don't offer Ameraucanas either.

Ok whatever. I’m not looking to argue but our does. They don’t just appear from nowhere

I belive you ours sometimes sells Ameriucanas and if your are lucky LOs so I believe yours could just because someone else's doesn't doesn't mean yours doesn't

I put Silkies. But I would definitely buy Seramas.

When the feed store labels chicks Americana they are really Easter Eggers. You are not going to get an Ameraucana for $3 or $4 from tractor supply

I have seen Ameraucanas at our TSC but I know that is just a marketing technique.

Commercial hatcheries that supply TSC don't breed them.

And TSC is notorious for mislabeling their chicks. I got two chicks under the label "Southern Ramblers," and they were Mystic Onyxes.
Don't believe everything you read -- especially if it's TSC's chick bin labels.

ARAUCANA are different than AMERAUCANA, which are both purebred. AMERICAUNA are EEs, otherwise known as mutts.

Pretty much all hatcheries sell EEs/Mutts/Americaunas.

Some sell Ameraucana for like 30 bucks a bird.

None that supply TSC sell Araucana because they are too difficult to mass produce

I voted Americauna, as I do have a couple now and have one ordered in my new shipment of chicks for this year. Honestly, though the list is pretty much none of the above for me as well. I like to keep pretty much that lay large eggs, single combs, no feathers on legs, etc. Our weather is hot in the summer, and cold and wet in the winter,
