Hello chicken people🐓 it must be nice to have the feeling I want chicks but hate the feeling which breed should I get. Well on this thread us chicken people can share our favorite breed of chicken and why so we can help our fellow chicken raisers.

Rhode Island Red
Is one of my favorites❤️❤ they are kind and can lay a egg every day!!!!! I highly recommend this breed they can also live 3+ years and they will lay for 3 years or more!!!! GET RHODE ISLAND RED!!!!!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I also love ISA browns❤️❤️❤️🐓 they are the kindest you can get!!!!! They can have reproduction problems which may shorten their life span less than 4 years but they can lay 1+ eggs a day!!!!!! Crazy right decide is an ISA Brown your type of chick?..... oh I do have one😏

I do have my queen of the flock Eliza the CINNAMON QUENN!!!!!!!🐓❤️❤️❤️They are great layers. They are sweet but they are the QUEENs of all QUEENs they are brave never scared very social especially when they are chicks they can live 4+ years and they can lay for three years or more!!!!! They lay at least six eggs a week.❤️❤️❤️ Do you want a Cinnomon QUEEN???!!!!!! Well....they are great but are they your type of chick...😏😉

I love my Hollands! I've tried out many breeds over the past eight years and these are my favorites so far. They are docile and friendly, and I've never had an aggressive rooster. Like seriously, I've had Silkies who will jump at you a bit, but I never had a Holland do that to me. The hens lay about 5 eggs per week and the roosters are tasty :D
Besides all this, they are a critically endangered American heritage breed!

My favorite in my flock is my Leghorn, she is not flighty, lays well, protected her babies and is just a sweet bird.

Next would be my Barred Rock, sweet and sassy!

I love all of my mixed-flock ladies, we have lucked out in temperaments. However, if I had to pick a flock of just 1 breed…
Either Barred Rocks or Speckled Sussex. Mine are bold but sweet, love to be petted, not flighty, no agression issues, and so pretty! 😊
