of ducks are the easiest to sex as day old ducklings?

what are the breeds and how do you know?

what breed (s) are the hardest to sex as ducklings ?

really if you can figure out what your doing they are all pretty easy. its supposedly when you get into the ornamentals that its hard and really at day olds it is really easy. One day i got on here looked in the stickys for the thread on how to sex ducklings, watched the video metzer gave then went out and sexed my mallards, runners, rouens, and mandarins and was successful with all.

Sex-links will be easiest as you can distinguish by color from the moment they hatch

Welsh Harlequins, because you dont have to vent sex and it is usually a good indicator of sex. I think this is how it goes, Welsh Harlequin females when they are day olds will have a dark tip bill that fades lighter and the males will have an all dark bill, Wifezilla, i know you know A LOT about WH so can you chime in and correct me if im wrong?

I already have the WH, so that will be good for next spring.

have yet to see any good news on early sexing of Cayugas yet. I just want to be prepared next spring, that if I find ducklings for sale, I don't get stuck with, or tricked into buying all boys.

i wish the dirty jobs 1 showed close up of the chicks this 1 leaves no questions...except can mallards be sexed as day olds by colors?

I am not sure if I could, or would want t try the vent sexing, as if you do it wrong, you could hurt the bird. I guess I'll have to watch the video a few times.
