I never understood why things like pizza and orange were feminine. Not really. So each noun is either masculine or feminine, and that never changes. For example, the word "chat" (cat) is masculine, while the word "pomme" (apple) is feminine. But what does change is the adjective, or the "describing word" basically. So, if I wanted to say "A small cat", I would say "Un petit chat". But if I wanted to say, "A small apple", then I would say, "Une petite pomme". (Notice that the articles (un, and une in this case) change as well, depending on if the word is masculine and feminine).
relatable! I have a malamute and the fur
I never understood why we needed to asign genders to words ever?I never understood why things like pizza and orange were feminine.
