Found these pics of a yearling we called Baby Girl. She would come up and drink salt water from a bowl. We figured out she was craving salt because she would come up and lick the sweat off our arms. And one time she even came up to tell me hello while I was practicing with one of my rifles for a competition.

Hunting sure has changed

Sure as heck has. But, I have give her kudos for still sitting in a tree in the woods instead of sitting in a heated apartment over looking a deer resort greenfield like most do it now.

To me the apartment over a resort is not hunting. It is target practice. I’m not judging. Just my opinion.

Sometimes when I was in the tree and when he came into range I was so cold that I couldn’t pull my bow back wondered if I should be in one those heated apartments. Couple times so cold I thought I wasn’t going to be able to make my body work well enough to be able to get down even.

I grew out of hunting. Just isn't for me where I live, it's way too cold and just.. eh. I totally get hunting for meat, my dad still does every year (especially this year), but I just don't see the excitement so much as the duty and chores it brings
