Well last year I posted questions about renovating an old shed into a coop. When we tore the siding off the old garden shed it was so obvious that it had to go - the framing was just plain awful and it wasn't really salvageable. We had the new foundation, flooring on when my spouse was laid off.
Well Sunday we started again...foundation and wall framing is up now the siding and roofing are being done this weekend. It's a long weekend in Canada this weekend so DH is working on the rest of the coop while I drive to pick up the chicks on Saturday. They'll have to live in the house for a couple of weeks and then out to the coop. I guess it's the chickens first and coop after for us.
Chicks first. I just keep telling my husband that, "They aren't old enough to go outside yet, honey...." while I dawdle around to finish the coop. Dern rainy days!
