Which hen is the best?

Yes, they come as both. I have bantam. I didn't even realize when I posted earlier that you are here in Florida. Howdy neighbor.

Now that I know that, you can have either hatching eggs or hatched chicks if you get straght A's. Nope, I'm not an enabler, not me

I guess it depends on what you want her for...I have all 3 breeds, like a few other posters. I have standard faverolles, and they are my favorite breed, and the one I am focusing on, but the millies, while more skittish, are such eye candy noone can resist them. And now that I have silkies, I don't know how I was ever without them! I know, I'm no help at all! Good luck, and congratulations on the great grades!!

I would want one for egg laying and breeding.

If you want a solid egg layer, I'd go for the faverolle...they lay steadily all through the winter, rather than tapering off like most other breeds. And silkies go broody so often, they are not as reliable egg producers. My d'uccles have been ok egg producers too (but not as good as the faverolles), but they are supposed to be a more broody breed as well. And if you want to breed, the faverolles roosters are some of the nicest you will see, and great eye candy for the yard...plus, the faverolles are really rare in the states, so good quality birds to breed will be hard to find, but once you get some, people will be knocking down your door for chicks and hatching eggs!!

Howdy neighbor. Since you live in Lutz and I live in Wesley Chapel, I say you get the mille fleur d'uccles! They are hard to come by. You start a breeding line and I start one and we can make big bucks

and show them at the fair. BTW I grew up off Hanna and Sunset:) . Good luck on making the Straight A's!!
