Which of these breeds should I get??? HELP

Hi, I have a RIR hen chick and 2 RIR roosters.. I am going to be purchasing another breed (from Silkies or Black Dutch Bantams) ..Im just not sure which breed to get..I want a decent layer, something kinda friendly and semi-hardy.. I LOVE the look of the Silkie..any advice out there?? Just a note..whatever I get, will be free range on the farm and cooped at night of course, but I have kids, dogs and cats(none of the animals will mess with the chickens) but my kids love to feed the birds and my RIR's follow them around like lost dogs and will wait at the back door for their daily meal worms, so I want something that fit this routine
