Which sex is better to have two of?

Well, sorry that animals procreate, but if they did not how would we get more?

Do not get two ganders - that is a problem waiting to develop. Two geese should be fine, but understand that two females may carry on mating behavior. Sex and reproduction is a strong force.

Just read your post # 4 and agree that that is the way to go, but understand that there will be mating behavior. It is actually part of the pair bonding process.

your riteanimals will be animals. there are somethings u have to put up with and if you can't then you shouldn't have animals. I know i never like keeping critters I can't let occasionaly hatch a batch

Doesn't bug me that they procreate, not at ALL. BUT....you gotta agree....watching ducks mating is hard. That is the only bird I have experience with, and ducks are just plain MEAN when they are mating. I don't know how geese are, but apparently not as bad....they like their privacy. That is why I like this forum....I ask a question, I get the answers I am looking for....and, that is why I have decided to go with a pair.

hey bayyjayy! If I were you I'd get a pair. The thing is, you're gonna fall in love with those silly goosey-geese and you're gonna wish you had a bonded pair so make some babies eventually. Maybe not this year, but geese live a loooooong time

If you're dead set against a pair then 2 females so you can have eggs. I'd be willing to bet the girls are more likely to get in a tiff than the boys - boys usually fight over girls but not much else.

I have two year-old bachelor brother American Lavender Ice. They came straight run from Holderread, so there was no telling what gender I was gonna end up with - they're inseparable. They stick together like glue and never fight... they're always within a few feet of each other and get upset when one can't see the other. I'd love to get them a couple of girls but the last batch of eggs I put under a broody muscovy didn't make it. I think I've waited too long, by now they've probably bonded and I'll have to get rid of one if I hope to have the other pair up with a girl

Beautiful buddies!

I keep going back and forth on what kind I want. These Lavender Ice ones have been in my line of thought for quite a while. I just dont' know.

Yours are really gorgeous.

Are they people friendly?
