White barred chicken...?

@Amer, are you using this one?
https://kippenjungle.nl/kruisingCO.html

@3KillerBs there are several different calculators on that site, and each displays a little differently.

I think Amer was using this one:
https://kippenjungle.nl/kruisingCO.html

I usually use this one:
https://kippenjungle.nl/kruising.html

And I know plenty of folks use this one:
http://kippenjungle.nl/breeds/crossbreeds.html

I'm pretty sure there are a few more as well, but if there is a handy list anywhere on that site I haven't blundered into it yet.

Thank you.

Hey on the one I was using... do you know what that chicken thing is in the bottom right corner?

Hmm, I'm not seeing it on the one I thought you were using, or on your screenshot.

Can you give the link to the one you're using, and a screenshot showing the "chicken thing" you're talking about?

That way we can be sure we are both talking about the same thing. (The many versions of the calculator can get very confusing!)

I can't figure out how to do a screenshot but this is the one I'm using. I think the chicken might be the fuzzy logic bar? It's in the bottom right.

Oh, I think I see it.
There's a round blue circle, with a square inside that, and a chicken in the square.
When I click on it, something pops up that looks like I can type in it, and it says "chicken bot" at the top.

I think it must be a chat feature, connecting with a bot and not a real person.
I tried typing a few things. It looks like it's meant to let you describe your chicken, and it'll help figure out what genes the bird has. (I didn't mess with it for very long, but typing "start" or "help" seems to make it start asking questions.)

Yes

I'm sorry to reply late but I was having picture sending issues and then pizza burning issues and I couldn't type up a comment when I first came across this very interesting topic.

I also have come across a barred white bird in my flock. I have a large and varied flock, he was rather a surprise because I'd never come across one before and didn't realize such a thing could happen. I think that this particular combination of hen and rooster had never come together before, at least not in a male offspring.

For me, the barring came from the hen. I have no barred rooster. My rooster is pictured. He's a mix. My best guess is half Wyandotte, which explains his comb and the lacing on his chest, and half something that is dominant white and single combed, since he does throw single combed offspring on a regular basis. Maybe Wyandotte/Leghorn? The mother of the cockerel is a Barred Rock. I do have a Dominique hen, but to my best knowledge she's purebred and so shouldn't be throwing single combed offspring no matter who she mates with.

We raise our chickens for food and this boy was extra and became dinner in his time, so no further pictures, but it was so interesting to see.

Do you have a closer picture of your rooster? He looks like a splash laced red wyandotte in that picture.

Wow! He was gorgeous!

Of course. I went out to take one purposefully for this. It's time to get a nice close up anyway.

I strongly suspect he's half laced Wyandotte of some color, but I even more strongly doubt that he's purebred. Knowing where I got him from, they like to mix birds and hatch for buyers who like the random variety. It's possible they produce the occasional purebred chick, but I don't think this guy is one of them. I do believe it's dominant white that he has. He hatched with a brother who looked the same but without the dominant white, red and black with lacing instead. He passes white coloration on the way you'd expect a bird heterozygous for dominant white to do.
