Hi all,
Recently I spotted some white bumps/spots on my 2 year old silkie bantam rooster’s face, (sort of near the eye) and they haven’t gone away. They don’t seem to be troubling him, can anyone tell me what is going on?
- Sunny
Other sickness history:
The only other thing I’ve noticed with him lately is that he’s a bit slower/tired, but not looking at all sick/lethargic like a normal chook would when sick and he runs away when I go to hold him which is a good sign (this is normal behaviour, as my chooks aren’t particularly tame). But this has been going on for a while now so I’m not overly worried but let me know if I should be.
His only other sickness history is tracheal mucus (a vet diagnosed him) which we treated with antibiotics (I think) and antifungal medicine (this worked).
Sometimes we also get mites/lice in the coop and I dust when this happens, which also works.
