White coop?

I am building a new coop. my plans are to paint it white. I really just like the clean lines and look of a white New coop. My daughter says it will look awful… That it will stand out in our green landscape and will get very dirty on the outside.

What do you think? It will be raised off the ground about 24 inches. I have had a purple coop and a green coop and now I want a white one. Am I crazy?

Lots of people have white coops!

(Including me... ) I love the way mine looks, but it's all personal preference.

I'm always more concerned with function over form.

I think it looks clean, also. One other small reason I went with white; it reflects sunlight instead of absorbing it.

What matches everything. Imagine painting it a color then discovering it clashes with the other coops! Your chickens would be so embarrassed.

It WILL get dirty and show that dirt well, even if you don't ever keep chickens in it. If you want to keep it white, use easy-to-clean paint and materials and be prepared to clean it regularly.
