I've only used a red heating bulb in my brooder before but got a white light this time. I am wondering if leaving the light on would be a bad thing for the baby buttonquails. Maybe it would hurt their eyes? I dont know. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The white light won't hurt their eyes in any way but white lights show the tiniest injuries or harmless red spots on baby chicks encouraging the other chicks to peck at the "injured" chick, sometimes killing it.
