White Orpingtons

Personally I think that your modge podge birds wouldn't make the cut with all their non-APA white coloring throughout their other non recognized colors. Just my opinion
So, tell me what makes a PURE SNOW WHITE bird of mine a "modge podge bird wouldn't make the cut"? What "non-APA white coloring throughout" do you see? The APA judges never pointed that out to me when I shown. :lau:lau:lau

I could be wrong though
Sorry you did not read the entire thread. Those who are recessive white express that gene in those random feathers. I can take 2 of those to each other and make SNOW WHITE Orps. That's how the recessive white gene works. That's called "New" blood or "breeding stock". A bird like this carries the REAL ENGLISH Buff genetics from one of the UK's legend according to the former United Orp Club Prez Don. Don seen that Buff cockerel, that was sold to a fella in Minnesota. That is the guy that Doug told me had the only Buffs that worked with his Buff line. THAT bird, some of Alan's APA Buffs, some of Alan's Whites which are Cecil's Whites, and Cecil Blacks are in this bird. I use what works to make Snow White Orps. Recessive White covers all.

I was just saying I think they meant the white feathers showing in a buff bird that would be shown against solid buff birds.

As David Pownall would say that my birds are "working birds", they are not meant to be shown, but when I do I show 100% solid Buff birds. I have a solid dozen whites I can show, but only a couple of Buffs. My Buffs now are used for back up White blood and that occasional Buff.
