White paste on chicken's vents

My production reds have had this white paste like stuff on their vents. It smells very bad and They have had it for a few months now.

Can anyone identify this and how do I treat it?

it looks like a messy poop... what about trimming the feathers a little... Mine did it for a while before i cut back treats

I agree, my chickens have it so often so I just put a glove on and wash her butt with a hose (gently so that I am not blasting her with 20mph water streams). It may sound disgusting but it works for me. Hope this is helpful
