Ok so if I cross my Texas A&M to my Jumbo Browns am I going to get a tux? Cause that’s what I have and I would like to get some tux... searching brings up all sorts of answers LOL

But seems like it would be a yes, and also a mix of whites and browns and things lol

Should be some tuxedos, white, and brown. Depends on genetics. But you should definitely get some tuxedos out of it.

You might not get pure tuxedos out of it, but most likely birds with brown and white. By the way, crossing Rosetta and Texas A&M makes tuxedo, not regular brown. However, hope for the best!

Oh, and watch out with breeding a jumbo male to a small female. Since he's so big and heavy he might hurt the female.

I've got a mixed batch of white, silver pharoah, tuxedo, and I guess what they call italian.
All from crossing "italians" to Texas A+M.

Yeah I have now 3 odd colors just from browns. I have two darker barred ones with black feathers and white edges and less normal pattern and another that’s a lighter tan color not dark brown like all the rest, and not like the ones with the black barred feathers. It’s not as light as Italian it’s more dark tan.

So even just breeding loads of brown gets you some weird results because there are so many crossings out there.

@feedman77 , your A&M's lay speckled eggs? Mine lay white shelled eggs, no speckling.

My A&Ms lay speckled eggs too. And are supposed to be a pure strain not crossed with any other coturnix.

Anyone ever have albino coturnix? I had 2 until one drowned itself. The other got beaten up as a chick and has never been right since.

I don’t know much about genetics but according to the quail calculator, if you cross a white with a wildtype you just get wildtype. I think if you then crossed the offspring with the white again you would get more whites.

I just wonder what color variations I got seems I always get a weirdo, someone in my flock always has to be different.
