Whitehouse Quail sent me my first batch of eggs!

Use it to elevate one side of the incubator and that will work for turning. You will have to put them in racks or a carton though.

Move the book so one side is high now and the other side is later

If you want, you can set them all up in the cartons I shipped in, that way they don't all roll into each other. If you raise up the book enough (probably three to four inches?) it should turn them enough. Commercial turners really don't alter the eggs THAT much...

Ok, have you done this before, and also, do I keep them little end down?

Yup, little end down, and no I haven't, not in this fashion. I'm just judging on doing it with the commercial turners; they really don't turn them all that much, it's more the movement that's key.

I am afraid to try it. I want these suckers to hatch.

It will work, make sure you use sponges for humidity so the water doesn't spill. It turns them enough, a brick works well for it too. Auto turners do the same thing, and tons of birds have been hatched out of them.

Ok, I will give it a try. Will take me about 20 minutes less time!
