Thank you ... Hoping she uses the nest eventually. Never had issues with the other breeds I've had, but these Whitings are the first and so far really enjoying them.
She will figure it out! It's common for new layers to lay their first few eggs in odd locations. I just found a pinkish/purple egg in the corner of the coop yesterday and today there was one next to the nest boxes. Lol, I'm sure it will be in a box tomorrow.
